Davis Junior Bentley, 70, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2022 with his daughter Laurie Bouche, son in law Chris Bouche and niece Kathryn Woodruff by his side. We held his hand and told him how loved he was. Davis would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call with an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. He lived on his terms and was happy to leave when the Lord called him into His eternal care.
Davis worked as a supervisor at Vought Aircraft for over 30 years and it was during this time that he met lifelong friends. He also enjoyed farming, using his favorite red Dodge truck for his side business, “Big Red Delivery Service” and dabbling in racing at the Texas Motorplex. There was never a dull moment with Davis. He was always looking for ways to leave “everlasting memories” with his family. Davis was known for his practical jokes and his dry sense of humor. He also enjoyed capturing his travels and adventures in pictures that he would later share with his family. Davis traveled thousands of miles in his motorhome around the continental United States these past few years before settling down in Louisiana. It is here that he found peace, happiness and truly met his match with his dear friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Davis and Anna Bentley, and sister Patsy Nehez.
Davis is survived by his daughter Laurie Bouche and husband Chris Bouche of Waxahachie, granddaughters Kaitlin and Kierstyn, and grandson Jackson, his niece Katheryn Woodruff and husband Cliff and their son Dylan; his sisters Reba Carothers and husband Mike, Linda Newman and husband Arnold, Sheila Donnelly and husband Mike, Brenda Mullins and husband Greg, Wanda Seese, and brother James Bentley and wife Dana along with many nieces and nephews.
We will forever adore and remember you; we will stand taller and stronger knowing you are now watching over us. Everyone that remembers him is asked to celebrate him in their own way and to be sure and make their own everlasting memories with family and friends. Davis asks that you do an unsolicited and unexpected act of kindness for someone that is less fortunate in his name.
