Trudy Love, a strong woman of God, was born in Upata, Venezuela, on January 17, 1940. She trusted God in every part of her daily life and knew with certainty that she would one day go to heaven.

Trudy found joy in singing gospel songs, and her voice could often be heard throughout the house as she went about her daily tasks. She served in her churches over the years as a choir member, Sunday School teacher, and Awana teacher, and she cherished the fellowship of her Christian friends.

She loved the simple things in life: cooking, sewing, and gardening, and she delighted in sharing them with her family. Her home was filled with plants she fussed over, and she loved propagating plants and flowers to give to friends and family. She kept her bird feeders and bird baths full, finding great joy in watching the birds and hummingbirds. Her favorite place was her rocking chair on the porch, where she sat looking over her flower beds with the family’s little dog, Daisy.

Trudy’s bubbly personality and bright smile made everyone around her smile. For those walking through sad times, she offered encouragement and faith-based advice. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she brought her family countless moments of joy.

Trudy was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Love, Jr.; her son, Keith Austin; her daughter, Trudy Gayle Barnes; and her parents, James and Darlene Russell.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Dalton and husband Dave; son, Lyle Austin; grandchildren, Heather Venable, Brandon Dalton, Bethany Barnes, Danielle Turner, and Avery Barnes; son-in-law, Clint Barnes and wife Dee Dee; sister, Carol Brown; brother, James Russell, Jr., his wife Jeanette and children; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
