Truett Huddle

April 2, 1961 — January 24, 2023

Waxahachie

On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, Truett Jeffry Huddle (Jeff) loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle passed away, peacefully, at age 61.

Jeff was born on April 2, 1961 in Waxahachie, Texas to Truett and Barbara Huddle. On November 18, 2000, he married Judy Spaniel of Ennis, Texas. They were married for 22 years but created a lifetime of memories together.

Jeff graduated from Willis High School in 1979 where he was involved in football and took pride in being the class clown. Shortly after, he served in the US Army for four years. Jeff had a passion for the Texas Longhorns and the Houston Astros, and if they weren’t playing, he would settle for pretty much any sport he could find! When not watching sports or spending time with his family, he enjoyed catching up with friends and reliving the good ol’ days.

Jeff was preceded in death by his daughter, Hailey, and his grandparents, Wilson and Irene Deal, Gladys Huddle, Father-in-law, George Spaniel Sr., Brother-in-laws, Mike Tekell and Marvin Trojacek. He is survived by his wife, Judy Huddle, his daughter, Tiffany Recor, his parents, Truett and Barbara Huddle, his sister, Kerri Araujo, in-laws, Marty Araujo, Kathy and George Satsky, Mary Ann Trojacek, Ramona and Ernest Jakubik, George and Maureen Spaniel, Johnny and Judy Spaniel, Cindy Brazil, Tommy and Vickie Spaniel, Susan Tekell, Jeannie Spaniel, Karleen and Jon Henry, several cousins, nieces, and nephews. In his final days, he was surrounded by family and friends who loved him deeply. Memories and laughs were shared with all present. He has entered the gates of Heaven and is now dancing at the feet of Jesus! What a wonderful gift we have to look forward to seeing him again one day.

A Celebration of life will be held on February 4th at 1pm at Telico Station 8616 FM 1181 in Ennis, Texas.

The family welcomes donations to Campfire Creek Therapeutic Riding Center (campfirecreek.org) as an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers.
