She lived her life to the fullest despite encountering many challenges throughout her journey. She was born and raised in Dallas, TX alongside her three siblings. In 1989, both Sarah and her sister Debbie graduated with their nursing degrees from El Centro College. Sarah found her passion for nursing in the dialysis field. She started her career in nursing with Dallas Nephrology in 1989 and continued to work as an In-service Coordinator and Charge Nurse for Fresenius Medical Care until 2017.
