Sammy Mcentire

Sammy Wayne McEntire (Sam) was born October 11, 1946 to S.W. and Faye McEntire.  He married his loving wife, Rachel Tennery, July 16, 1965. Throughout his life, he worked at several different places and his last employment was at Waxahachie Autoplex. He loved driving cars.

He had a hobby of restoring cars. He enjoyed building anything out of barnwood. He had a talent for drawing and painting. He loved going to garage sales. He would make someone’s trash into beautiful treasure.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rachel, three daughters, Gina Ragsdale (Steve), Angela McEntire, Melissa Gladney (Junior), seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sisters, Pam Norman (Richard), Pat Roe, Jenne Ross, several nieces and nephews.

Sam was a loving and devoted man to his family.

At the request of Sam's family, please join them in memorializing Sam by wearing something red, which was Sam's favorite color.
