Rebecca Sill

Rebecca Ann Sill came into this world on December 2, 1948. She was born at the Baptist Baby Home in New Orleans, Louisiana. Joyce and Walter Snow, M.D. took her home to Liberty, Mississippi, not far from New Orleans. Walter later took a position with the VA Hospital in Dallas, bringing Joyce closer to home, as she grew up in Frost, Texas. “Becky” attended public school in Dallas including Kimball High School where she was an academic stand out and was on the drill team. Shortly after graduation, Becky took a job with Gulf Insurance Company as an Underwriter. She later met Douglas Sill and they fell in love. They dated six weeks and decided to elope on December 10, 1969. A few years later, they had their first and only child, George, on July 22, 1972. Living in Dallas, they decided City Life was not the path they wanted to raise a child and they moved to Whitney, Texas two months afterwards. In 1983, Douglas once again moved the family. This time to Waxahachie, Texas. This is where Douglas and Becky lived out their lives. Becky went home to her Lord and Savior on September 14, 2021.

Becky is survived by her son, George Douglas Sill, Jr., two grandchildren, George Douglas Sill, III and Madelynn Rene Sill. She is preceded in death by her husband George Douglas Sill, Sr., her parents, Joyce and Walter Snow, as well as many aunts and uncles.
