Pearl Vennell

Pearl Sophie Vennell of Midlothian, Texas passed away peacefully on August 3, 2022 at the age of 79. She was born in Camden, New Jersey on October 1, 1942 to Frank and Sophie Kawcynski and was the youngest of three sisters. She graduated from Camden High School and married William Vennell Sr. on September 10, 1960.  His job relocated them to Midlothian, Texas in 1972 and were happily married for 62 years.

Family meant the world to her and she cherished every minute with them.  In her heart she had two sets, her biological family whom she devoted her entire life caring for in every selfless way possible as a stay-at-home wife and mother.  Her second set of family were her close circle of friends she met over the years and considered them her cherished sisters.   Pearl loved get-togethers for any reason whether it was a fun night of games/cards, church, shopping, traveling, meeting for dinner & dancing, giving a helping hand on projects or just spending time talking and laughing. In a moment's notice she would stop whatever she was doing to help anyone, no matter how big the need and without expectations.  When she loved, she loved with her entire heart.  Anyone that was blessed to have known her, fully understands her devotion and ability to put others before herself.

Pearl was a long-time member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waxahachie, Texas and The Ladies Altar Society.  She told everyone she had a good life and lived it to the fullest. She will be welcomed with open arms and celebrated by the ones who went before her and will always be remembered for her caring and generous nature of helping others.  She will be missed immensely.

Pearl is survived by her husband, William Vennell Sr. and their three children and spouses, Kimberly Vennell, Pamela Burns (Jeff), and William Vennell Jr. (Erin), their four grandchildren, James Wharton, Joseph Gutierrez, Megan Vennell, Cooper Vennell and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Dolores Chojnowski and Dorothy Novelli.

A reception will follow the Funeral Mass at the Knights of Columbus Hall
