Michael Kerry

Michael Kerry, age 80, went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 29, 2019. He was born April 25, 1939 to Esmay and Isabel (Bynog) Kerry in Cloutierville, Louisiana. He and his wife Qretta Long Kerry were married January 24, 1960 and moved to Texas that same year. They loved life together and raised seven children. He was a devoted husband, father and friend.

Michael worked for Dallas Building and Repair, a general contractor, for 40 years. He had pride in his work and loved what he did. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and a devoted Christian.

He is survived by Daughter, Lorrie and her husband Marcus Dyess; Daughter, Janice and her husband Ino Garcia; Daughter, Tammy Allgood; Son, Michael Randy Kerry; Son, Huey John Kerry; Daughter, Paula and her husband Charles Hayes; Daughter, Mary Kerry; fourteen Grandchildren and sixteen Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Esmay and Isabel Kerry; wife, Qretta Long Kerry; grandson, Kenneth Jerome Early and multiple brothers and sisters.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday June 4, 2019 at the Wayne-Boze Memorial Chapel followed by burial at the Red Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wayne-Boze Funeral Home 6:00-8:00 pm Monday June 3, 2019.
