Madison Carpenter

Madison Rose Carpenter (Maddie) of Red Oak, Texas, gained her Angel Wings on October 1, 2021. Maddie courageously battled undifferentiated sarcoma cancer for several years. She was born on December 15, 2009 in Dallas and was currently in the 6th grade attending Red Oak Middle School. She previously attended grades K-5th at Red Oak Elementary. Maddie is survived by her parents, Johnathan Ryan & Tiffany Rose Carpenter and three brothers; Zachary (20), Austin (18), and Landon (15); Grandparents, Timothy and Sandy Schieberl of Red Oak and Alan and Debbie Register of the Austin, TX area; several Aunts, Uncles & cousins that she loved dearly.

Maddie was known for playing softball and baseball on local teams and excelled in her devoted participation. Her battle to beat cancer was made public through a Team Maddie – Strike Out Cancer site on social media. Here, followers could obtain recent status on Maddie’s fight and send encouragement to the family. She was an inspiration to several followers who were also having their own struggles in 2020-2021.

Maddie battled cancer with courage, bravery, positive attitude, and always with a beautiful smile. She was also an accomplished artist. She loved to spend hours sketching interesting characters and people, often while watching music videos or just listening to her favorite artists. Her favorites included: Billie Eilish, Little Mix and Avril Lavigne. Maddie’s wish came true when she enjoyed and encouraging message from Billie Eilish thanks to the Make A Wish Foundation.

Maddie was fearless, often riding the biggest and fastest rides at theme parks or cliff jumping without hesitation while white water rafting. Most of all, Maddie enjoyed spending time and enjoying special events with her family or cousins. She had a kind heart, encouraged others, and loved her family and friends. She would surely want us to thank the multitude of family, friends and followers of her journey that supported her with prayers, gifts, and encouragement through the years.
