Waxahachie

Loretta Bearden Harris, beautiful lady, beloved partner and devoted mother passed away on January 11, 2021 after a valiant battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.  She is missed by many, but lives on in our hearts forever.

Loretta is survived by her partner Morgan Robnett of Waxahachie, son Gregory Harris of Longview, and daughter Laura and her husband Jeffrey Medcalf of Karnack Texas.

Loretta was born on February 4, 1936 to Edward and Lorane (Simons) Bearden in Dallas, Texas.  She grew up in Dallas and graduated Woodrow Wilson High School class of 1954. She worked as a talented beautician, while lovingly raising two children with her first husband Riggs Harris, Jr.  She later transitioned to a technical career in accounting services. She was athletically gifted, and enjoyed competition in volleyball and tennis.  Loretta had an exceptional passion for life.  She loved to travel and experience new places and people throughout the United States and abroad.  She and her partner Morgan, energetically supported the Hella Shrine Circus for many years.  They dedicated much time, energy and their expertise to organize and run the 2012 Hella Shrine Circus that provided affordable, first class circus fun for many Dallas area families, while raising funds for Hella Shrines.
