Linda Helms

Linda Sue Helms of Waxahachie, TX was born on December 5, 1945 in Crisp, TX to Nat Ira and Nora Myrtle Jackson. Linda joined her Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at age 76. She was the thirteenth of seventeen brothers and sisters. Linda married James Wendell Helms in 1989, the couple enjoyed 28 years together before his death in 2018.

Linda had many hobbies, among them were cooking, hunting, gardening, canning, and baking everyones favorite desserts. She loved “riding around” with her family. She shared many joyful memories as children going to the Lancaster park and playing in the creek with her siblings behind their childhood home. Linda shared that she made lots of wonderful memories in Galveston and got to return recently with her nieces Janet and Cindy. Above all else, she loved Jesus and she looked forward to spending time on Sundays with her church family. Linda shared her love for the Lord and his word with all that she met. She was a prayer warrior, only heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of faithful praying have had on her loved ones. Her joy was contagious!

Linda is preceded in death by her husband James W. Helms, parents, and  brothers: Teddy, Jeff, Leroy, Bob, Donnie, Gary, and Darrell Jackson; sister Delores Jones.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Marie and husband Tommy Quesenberry, daughter Kerri and husband Todd Wilson; three grandchildren, Jacob, Sydney, and Sophie; brother, Melvin Jackson; sisters, Billie Jo Livingston, Iva Coleman, Faye Guinn, Gloria Authur, Ruby and husband Terry Sitz, Patsy King, and Barbara Daugherty and husband, Jr.

Everyone will carry their special memories of Linda, she will be missed dearly.

A reception will follow services on Thursday at Milagro Farms at 543 Lumpkins Rd.., Forreston, Tx.
