Larry Stiles

June 24, 1933 — February 1, 2020

Midlothian

Larry K. Stiles passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020.

Larry was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on June 24, 1933 to Evelyn Knowlton and Victor McClain.  Several years later he was adopted by Elbert Stiles.  He was one of two children.

Larry was preceded in death by his three parents.  He married Beatrice Sanchez on 2/14/81. They would have celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary this year.  Larry was survived by Bea, 5 daughters,Sonya, Cheryl, Jamie, Tracie, and Barbara and 3 sons, Mark, Anthony, and Lloyd. and one brother, Vaughn.  Together Bea and Larry have 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  During their life together they lived in Grand Prairie, Texas and eventually moved to Midlothian, Texas.

Larry joined the Navy when he was 17 years old and was stationed in Millington, Tennessee and San Diego, California.  Upon his honorable discharge, the family moved back to Memphis, Tennessee.  He worked many years as service manager for several truck leasing companies in Dallas, Texas.  In late 1996, he retired but as everyone knows, Larry was not one to sit around and do nothing so he worked several part time jobs until 2019.

Several things that were important to Larry were his family, his dogs, and his home.  He was consistently doing construction on their home.  Larry was the "consultant" who was called anytime that others needed construction and mechanical issues

Although his body was trying to give out, his mind was always working.  We lost our husband, daddy, gaddy, brother-in-law, and special friend.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Interment to be held at a later date at DFW National Cemetery.
