Red Oak

Jimmy Lynn Fullington was born January 11, 1944, and went home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2019.

Born in Dallas to Richard Clinton and Jimmie Anita Fullington.  Jimmy spent his early years hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.  Jimmy Graduated from W.W. Samuel High School in 1962.  After graduating Jimmy heard the call to serve his country and spent 6 years in the United States Navy Helicopter Squadron 701.

Jimmy met the love of his life, Beverly Pearl Jones, when he was only 16 Years old; they were married June 9, 1964.  After Leaving the Navy Jimmy took a job with the U.S. Postal Service, where he worked for 35 Years.  Jimmy and Beverly welcomed their first son Jeffery Dale in 1965 followed, by Gregory Allen in 1967, and Daughter Angela Lynn in 1968.  The couple was also blessed with six grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

Jimmy was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in February of 2017 and finished his fight surrounded by his family after 31 months of truly inspiring determination on August 25, 2019.

Throughout his life Jimmy had a great love of traveling, and loved going on vacations with Beverly to new and exciting places.  He also had a great love of food and often joked that a meal wasn’t worth eating unless you wore a little bit of it home.  An incorrigible cut-up Jimmy loved to joke, be it making funny voices, playfully heckling family and friends, or regaling anyone who would listen with fantastic stories of ghosts or tales of the fearsome Green-eyed Snolygaster, while sitting around a campfire.  Above all Jimmy was a family man, he was enormously proud of the legacy that he and Beverly built together, and those of that legacy will miss him everyday for the rest of their lives.

Jimmy is preceded in death by parents Richard and Jimmie Fullington.  He is survived by Brother Richard Fullington, Sister Stephanie Davenport, Brother in Law Frank Jones, wife Beverly Fullington, Sons Jeffery Fullington, and wife Suzanne, Gregory Fullington, and wife Cynthia, Daughter Angela Clifton, and husband Edwin, Grandchildren Nicholas, and wife Elizabeth, Jarrett, Taylor, Lauren, Riley, Lindsay, and Step-Grandchildren Kasey, Dalton, and Alexyss.
