James Edward Stracener

Tribute

James Edward Stracener was born in Gilmer TX, on August 30, 1942 and passed away on April 1, 2022 at Baylor Hospital in Waxahachie, TX at the age of 79.   He grew up in Dallas and graduated from Kimball High School in 1960.  He attended Arlington State College and received a degree in Civil Engineering.  On September 3, 1965 James married the love of his life, Elaine.  James started working for Dallas Power & Light, which later changed to TU Electric.  For a short time he was transferred to Ft Worth.  After 33 years, he retired.  James enjoyed his vacations where he and his family visited many locations across the country.  On his 25th anniversary, he and Elaine went to Hawaii and close to their 50th anniversary, they took an Alaskan Cruise.

James is survived by his wife, Elaine, Two sons: Craig and his wife Ami, and Darrin Stracener, 3 Grandchildren: Austin, McKenna, and Sage Stracener;  His brother Bill Stracener and wife, Lissa

The funeral service will be held at Farley Street Baptist Church, 1116 Brown St. Waxahachie, TX 75165.  There will be a visitation at 10:00am followed by the service at 11:00am.

His family will be present to welcome loved ones.
