James Murphy

James Joseph Murphy was born in Dallas August 13, 1942, and died January 23, 2022, in his home in Red Oak Texas.

James worked for D.A.R.T in Dallas as a maintenance personnel for many years before retiring. He was an electrician and carpenter. He built rental houses and his present home. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

James was the oldest of four siblings. All his younger siblings preceded him in death. His father was Joe Murphy of Grand Prairie, and his mother was Mary Bacek. He is survived by his wife Virginia Murphy and his children Jamie Murphy of Kaufman Texas and Sam and Julia Alkamha of Red Oak Texas.

We wish to give a special thank you to the Knights of Columbus, Rosary Group, Alter Society, and many others of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for their prayers and assistance.
