Gary Richard Wyatt, 71 , of Waxahachie, passed away on Wednesday, 11/17/2021 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at Wayne Boze Funeral Home on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 10 am with Pastor Joel Warren officiating. A visitation will take place on Friday, 11/26/21 from 4:00-6:00 pm.

Gary was born in 1950 in South Bend, Indiana to Richard and Dorothy Wyatt.  Gary graduated from LaSalle High School and attended Indiana University at South Bend, graduating with a B.S. in Business Marketing. Gary was a member of Sigma Pi at IUSB. Gary worked over 20 years for Skamper Corporation, a recreational vehicle manufacturer in Bristol, Indiana, as part owner and Vice President of Marketing

On July 30, 1983 he married Lisa McCoy in Irving, Texas after meeting her at the Real McCoy’s camper sales in Grand Prairie, Texas.  Gary, Lisa and the children lived in Indiana for 21 years before moving to Waxahachie Texas in 2004.  Gary assisted Lisa as Business/Office Manager for her law practice and was a very knowledgeable investor in the stock market after his Skamper career. Gary enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fine dining, and visiting Texas wineries. Gary was a member of the Avenue Church. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa of Waxahachie; children Jaclyn Tackett of Glenwood, Iowa and Scott Wyatt of Irving, Texas; and grandchildren Lucas, Harvey, & Isabelle Tackett, Orban Wyatt and Bailey Tackett.

The Wyatt family wishes to acknowledge the Visiting Nurse Association Palliative and Hospice Care for care given to Gary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to DFW Cocker Spaniel Rescue or the Avenue Church of Waxahachie
