Eugene Cottle

October 5, 1962 — October 2, 2019

Duncanville

On Wednesday, October 2, 2019, Eugene Cottle, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away at the age of 56 in Dallas, Texas.

Eugene was born on October 5, 1962 in Dallas, Texas to Jack Cottle and Betty Hollinger. After high school, Eugene followed in his family’s footsteps and made a career in the plumbing industry. He started a family owned and operated plumbing company and kept it running smoothly, pun intended, for over 20 plus years.

Eugene met Jill in 1991 and he told her he loved her the very first day. Two years later, in 1993, Eugene and Jill finally said “I do” in Kemp, Texas and they didn’t regret their decision from that moment on. They had their ups and downs, being the fact that Eugene made it his mission to aggravate Jill, but their love was strong and always prevailed.

He loved motorcycles and fast cars. He rode with the Midnight Riderz Riding Club for a couple of years and finally convinced Jill to hop on the back, wrap her arms around him and enjoy the open road with him.

Almost to a fault, Eugene would help anyone in need. Whether it was taking his mom to Winstar, doing for his family or giving someone that pocketed t-shirt off of his back, he always made time for everyone around him. He was known for his quick wit and loved to make people laugh and thought it was even funnier when he could take the last shot.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years Jill; children, Sabrina, Terry, and Erica; and his grandchildren, James, Candice, Breanna, Adrian, Carson, and Aeverie, his mother Betty and brother and sister James and Mary. He will be greatly missed and will always be loved by those whose lives he touched.
