Enrique Astran

Enrique Young Astran, 80, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at a hospital in Arlington, Texas. Enrique was born January 25, 1941 to Domingo and Delores Young Astran in New Braunfels, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Gonzales. Enrique served in the United States Army, Company A 307th Engineer Battalion, Camp Randall Dominican Republic. In 1966, he was saluted as an “outstanding soldier”, whose honor and dedication to duty were beyond reproach. He was honorably discharged on April 8, 1966. Enrique is survived by his daughters, Betty (Astran) Dean and Sally (Astran) Enright; sons Jason, Michael and Christopher Astran; grandchildren, Jen Davila, Adrian Vasquez, Marcelino Astran, Jessica Fitzgerald, Michael Jr, Bianca and Whitney Astran, John Enright and Victoria Hertel; brother, Ruben “Cowboy” and Domingo III Astran; sister, Elida Simmons; and 8 great-grandchildren, Adrian Jr., Camron, Elida, Izabell, Olivia, Gabriella, Sayda and Everett. Enrique was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Domingo Jr. and Rogelio Astran. The family will have visitation on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home Chapel located at 1826 US-287 BUS, Waxahachie, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matthew Davila officiating. The family will greet friends after the funeral service on Monday, March 15, 2021 at the home of Ruben and Irene Astran, 1001 Danish Drive, Grand Prairie, Texas. The Burial Ceremony will be on Tuesday, March 16 at 09:30 am at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas.
