Clarence Anthony Pruitt

August 18, 1939 ~ September 10, 2020 (age 81)

Tribute

Clarence Anthony Pruitt passed away peacefully at home on September 10, 2020 from prostate cancer. He was born on August 18, 1939 in Austin, Texas.

Clarence is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty, their children Katherine, Judy, and Clarence, four grandchildren, Ryan, Blane, Weston, and Taryn, and his son-in-law Daryl Seidler. He is preceded by his parents Clarence and Effie Belle, and his brothers Thomas and Jesse.

For most of his life, Clarence worked in the structural metals industry and owned two businesses, Boltco and Pruitt & Clark. He most recently was a Sales Representative at All-Pro Fasteners in Arlington, Texas until his retirement in December 2019. While at All-Pro he was instrumental in providing building materials for both AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Park in Arlington.

After his family, Clarence’s true passion in life was raising and racing Quarter Horses. He loved every aspect of raising horses, from breeding, to raising a foal, to watching them at the track.

He was an avid sports fan and particularly loved watching the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys, but still had a fondness for the New York Yankees and his childhood hero Yogi Berra.
