Carrol Griess

Carrol Lynne Kitchens Griess, age 59 passed away unexpectedly on Sunday May 16th, 2021 at Baylor Scott and White in Waxahachie, Tx. She was born on September 21 1961 in Dallas Tx to Shirley Lynne Kitchens and Roy Carrol Kitchens. She graduated from Christian Academy of Oak Cliff in 1979. Then went on to graduate from Dallas Baptist College now known as Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice. She worked for a half way house for 24 years as HR and many other job titles. When she wasn't working she loved spending time with her daughter and granddaughters and other family. She especially loved baking and was well known for it amongst her friends and family. Carrol also loved to dance and spend time with her friends listening to her favorite band The Midtown Playboys Band. She is survied by her daughter Jennifer Griess with fiance Charles House and nephew Chris Wood with wife Jamie Wood, her granddaughters Mckenna House, Hayden House, and Cambrie House and grandniece Sophie Wood and grandnephew Logan Wood, and her brother Fritz Kitchens. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and other friends. Services will be held at Wayne Boze Funeral Home with visitation on May 25th from 6-8 and funeral on May 26th at 10 a.m. with a graveside service following at Laurel Land Cemetery.
