Brandon Starr

May 3, 1979 — October 27, 2019

Waxahachie

Brandon left this earth to be with God on Sunday, October 27, 2019. He was born in Garland, TX and grew up in Prescott, AZ, and both Denison, TX, and Allen TX. He graduated from Allen High School in 1997. He has worked for New York Life Insurance Company for the past 16 years and loved his team and his job. He enjoyed music, and especially playing his guitars. He loved the blues. He was our go-to tech guy. He could re-wire just about any computer or sound system and was an electronic whiz. He was called upon many times, and in many places for this admirable skill. He could crack a joke that made you laugh in the hardest of times. He didn’t love being in the spotlight, but was never afraid of shining in it, when he was called to do so. He will be regrettably, and sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves behind his wife of 12 years, Jamie, and their children Wyatt and Annabelle. He is also survived by his stepmother, Joy Starr, stepfather Glenn Allison, brothers Brett Starr and Gaylen Allison, sisters Rhonda McManigell and Robin Voight, and several beloved nieces, nephews, and great nephews and a great niece. He is preceded in death by his father, Mike Starr, and his mother, Mary Allison. Our family thanks everyone for their concern and prayers in this very difficult time.

A memorial gathering is planned at a later date.
