Bobby Murray

Bobby Joe Murray age 77 went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. He was born December 21, 1941 in Waxahachie, Texas to Roy E. Murray and Jenny Gertrude (Earls) Murray.

Bobby attended school in Waxahachie, Texas. He joined the US Army in 1959 and was a  sargent in the 101st Airborne Division. He received his pilot license and loved flying every chance he had. He retired from C & W Construction of Mesquite, Texas. He was a member of Water Street Baptist Church. He loved his family very much. He enjoyed spending time with all of his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bobby enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys win or lose. Bobby was a hero to all of his family and was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Survivors are his loving and adoring wife, Betty Jean Murray of 56 years. Daughters; Cindy Douthit and husband Terry Douthit of Waxahachie, Robbin Butler and husband Paul Butler of Midlothian, Michelle Mejorado and husband Ruben Mejorado of Waxahachie. Grandchildren; Mandi and Billy Allen of Milford, Jennifer and Chris Harrell of Waxahachie, Teri and Russ Whitson of Waxahachie, Jonathon and Elessa Weber of Grand Prairie, Johnna and Bryan Wimpee of Midlothian, Kristin and Morgan Mears of Waxahachie, Tiffany and Arron Westmoreland of Waxahachie, Rebecca and Andy Johnson of Waxahachie, Ruben Mejorado, Jr. of Waxahachie, Aaron Mejorado of Waxahachie, Shawn Vernon of Dallas, Randy and Andrea Vernon of Waxahachie. Great Grandchildren; Max McCullough, Ian McGuire, Shiner Westmoreland, Abby Willms, Pyper Whitson, Prescott Westmoreland, Alex Harrell, Caysen Johnson, Brynnlee Wimpee, and Jenson Weber. Mother in law; Lorene Farmer who will be 103 years old in November.

He is preceded in death by his Father; Roy Edward Murray, Mother; Jenny Gertrude Murray, Sisters; Betty Clayton and Rosa Lee Ray, Brother; Roy Murray, Jr., and Daughter Theresa Lorene Kirkland.
