Audie Mae Collier Newton, also known as Meme and Granny. She passed away on 07/25/2020 at 95 yrs. of age. She was born in Talco, Texas in 1925 to Fredrick” Fred” Collier and Audie Bell Boles Collier. She was raised in Hugo, OK along with 7 siblings: Fred, Jesse, Jimmy, Bobby, Minnie, Georganne, and Maudie.

She was preceded in death by her late loving husband, Orien Sigford Newton, whom she was married to for 47 yrs. and one brother Bobby Lee Collier, son Jimmy Don Newton and one granddaughter named Sherry Lynn Newton. Her family meant the world to her and brought her great joy. She spent most of her time with all of her family making memories and cherishing all of them. She had a sense of humor and always brightened everyone’s day. She kept us all in line and we knew our place. She was a sassy, strong, loving, independent, beautiful, blessed and godly woman.

She is survived by Bob and Pam Newton, Al Wayne and Rita Newton, Linda Susan (Newton) And John Schuster. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Sharon Kay and Orien Wayne, Shauna and Selina, Kimberly and Tori, BJ, Michelle, and Kristie. She had numerous great grandchildren who loved her dearly as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her precious bear “teddy”. Heaven has gained another angel that will be dearly missed by who’s lives she touched.
