Greatly loved, respected son, brother, husband, father, and friend, Thomas Lester Wentz, was received, we believe joyously, by Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Thomas was born on August 9, 1964, in Camden, New Jersey, to John Lewis Wentz, Jr. and Nancy Ardella Wentz.
Thomas grew up in Arlington, Texas. At an early age, he found a passion for riding sport motorcycles and became a skilled rider and often dreamed of racing his Ducati’s. Tom and Tammy enjoyed riding together even before they were married on February 26, 1988. The joy of riding motorcycles continued with their son, Zachary Thomas Wentz, born November 12, 2003. Often Tom’s family and friends enjoyed gathering to ride together on motorcycles and dirt bikes.
Thomas was known for his solid faith in Jesus Christ and serving others. Tom and Tammy worshipped Christ at Rush Creek Church in Mansfield, Texas. Tom was highly knowledgeable about many topics and was the go-to person for many people. His fun loving and tenderhearted soul blessed everyone that met him.
Tom had great respect for all who served, and he was extremely proud of his son, Airman First Class Zachary Wentz, and his nephew, Captain Matthew Wentz. He was overjoyed to become a father-in-law when Zachary married Hope Carolyn on May 29, 2024.
Thomas was preceded in death by his adoring mother, Nancy Ardella Wentz, and father-in-law and friend, Jack Dillon. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Elaine Wentz, their son Zachary and his wife Hope. Tom is also survived by his father, John Lewis Wentz, Jr.; Tom’s elder brother, John Wentz, III, his wife Ann and son Matthew and his wife Paige; his sister, Nannette Fallman and her children: daughter Ashley; eldest son Tyler and wife Stephanie and their children Emory and Noah; son Keegan and his wife Casey and their children Madeline and Charlotte; Tom’s youngest sibling, James Kurt Wentz and his wife Wendy and their sons Landon and Mason. Tammy’s precious mother, Sherry Dillon, was Tom’s caregiver and help his last year. Also surviving are Tammy’s siblings: Tim Whitworth and Debbie Wilson and husband Steve, as well as countless beloved family and friends with whom he is looking forward to spending eternity with CHRIST JESUS!
