Thomas Lee Wakefield Jr., 71, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on June 19, 2026.
Born on February 10, 1955, in Waxahachie, Texas, Tom was the son of Thomas Lee Wakefield Sr. and Anna Louise Wakefield, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Floyd Gaylon Wakefield.
Tom was one of five children and is survived by his loving siblings: Delores Oliva-Torres of Elysian Fields, Texas; Sandra Logsdon of Waxahachie, Texas; and Donald Wakefield of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by two nieces, five great-nieces and nephews, and six great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Tom retired from Home Depot after many years of dedicated service. In retirement, he enjoyed pursuing his passions, especially fishing and collecting antiques. He had a special talent for finding value and beauty in old treasures and turning his love of antiques into a lifelong hobby.
Those who knew Tom will remember him as someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer a listening ear, or provide a shoulder to cry on. He was kind, dependable, and deeply devoted to the people he loved. Family was the center of his life, and he took great pride in maintaining close relationships with those around him.
Tom’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering support touched the lives of many. He leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to bring comfort to his family and friends for years to come.
