Thomas Laney Reed

Thomas L. Reed, “Tommy” of Waxahachie, TX passed away on February 4th, 2025 in Waxahachie, TX at the age of 81. He was born on March 28th, 1943, in Kaufman, TX to William and Lucille (Thomas) Reed. They moved to Waxahachie in 1954 where he lived the rest of his life. He graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1962, afterwards he joined the Marine Corp and served for six years. He spent his working career in the athletic clothing industry where he met Ann Reed, and they married in 1980 in Waxahachie. He was preceded in death by his son, Kyle, his parents Bill and Lucille Reed, his sister, Lyta Kellet, and the love of his life, Ann Reed.

He is survived by the joys of his life, his grandsons, Noah and Colin Reed, his grandaughter-in-law, Eliza Reed, and his great-granddaughter, Kaelum Reed. He is also survived by his brother Gerald Reed, sister-in-law Marva Reed, and numerous nieces and nephews.
