Terrence (Terry) Joseph Miller of Waxahachie, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2026, at the age of 86. He was a Christ-follower, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Rhonda Miller; daughters Allison Pinkerton (husband Danny), Marcia Heindl (husband Norb), and Jennifer Solotaroff; his grandchildren Ryan (wife Emily), Sarah, Brad, Hannah, Nathan, Emma, Joel, and Jada; and his great-grandson, Walker. He is also survived by his cousins Dick Creager and Tena Karinshak, and nephew Chris Jones.
Terry was the son of Hugh and Ethel Miller, growing up in Thurmont, Maryland. After graduating high school, he joined the Air Force. The Air Force eventually sent him to Duncanville, Texas, where he officially became a Texan! After the Air Force, he enjoyed an extensive career in banking and, in later years, served as Pastoral Care Director at Waxahachie Bible Church. He authored four books and was most recently writing “Friendships Are Golden.” During his journey through illness, he was so grateful to have many “guy friends” who loved to spend time with him, and he included some of their stories in his latest book.
In lieu of flowers, Terry has requested that contributions be made to either Waxahachie Bible Church or the Ellis County Homeless Coalition.
