Suzette "Susie" Tune

March 20, 1953 — February 1, 2024

Ennis

Suzette ‘Susie’ Tune, 70, of Ennis, Texas, passed away on February 1, 2024, at her home of 43 years in Ennis, Texas. Susie was born in Cleburne to Robert and Daphne Cook of Glen Rose on March 20, 1953. The family later moved to Fort Worth and she graduated from Paschal High School in 1971. After moving to the Ovilla area in 1973, she met and married her husband of 48 years, Clark Tune, on July 23, 1975.

Susie worked for various companies in the data entry field for many years. Eventually she worked for Baylor Hospital in Waxahachie in the same position before she changed course in 1997. This change was to become trained as a note reader/scopist editing depositions and court proceedings for various court reporters across the United States. She loved and continued this work until failing health brought on her retirement.

Our greatest joy was in February of 1983 when we adopted our precious daughter, Julie, at the ripe age of 4 months old. Julie was the joy that came into our lives after 8 years of marriage without children. Susie was so proud of Julie as she became a wonderful mother herself to 3 beautiful granddaughters.

Susie was a very strong student of scripture and trusted in and loved Yahweh. We began this journey of knowledge and understanding in 1990 to hopefully develop Yahweh’s nature of true love. She earnestly strove and will strive again as part of the Second Resurrection to fulfill Yahweh’s calling to repentance, salvation and perfection at his coming, as part of the body of his son, Yahu Yahweh.

Susie loved our yearly stays in the cabins near Glen Rose just to relax and to swim and to walk and just enjoy each other. We also shared a trip of a lifetime in 1996 to Israel, Egypt, and London. She loved the assembly members of Yahweh’s Assembly who we accompanied on our journey, both at home and abroad. Even though she is not with us now, our journey continues with her in our hearts!

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Daphne Cook. She is survived by her husband, Robert Clark Tune, her daughter and son-in-law, Julie Marie Ornelas and Alex Ornelas, granddaughters, Leia, Olivia and A.J., all of Wasilla, Alaska, sisters-in-law, Gloria Tune of Eureka, California, and Lou Ann Floyd of Ovilla, Texas, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert L. Tune, Jr. and Johney Beth Tune of Red Oak, Texas.
