Servando Gonzales

Servando Gonzales was born in Waxahachie, Texas to Juan and Delores Gonzales of Guadalajara, Mexico. He attended local schools and graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1953.  Servando served in the U.S. Army from March 7, 1956 through December 16, 1957.  While stationed in Germany, Servando met Erika Stief.  He proposed to her and they were married on July 24, 1958, in Waxahachie, Texas.  They remained married for sixty-four years had two children Linda and Paul.

Servando is survived by his wife, Erika and his children Linda and Paul, grandchildren Emily Barnes and John Paul Tillery, great grandchild Michaela Tillery, brother Frank Gonzales and sister Irene Gonzales Escamilla.  He was preceded in death by his parents Juan and Delores, brother Ruvan Gonzales, and sister Guadalupe Gonzales Tamez.
