Snuffie McQueen was born in Columbus, Texas, on March 4, 1955, to Massey and Mary Hannah Duncan. She met the love of her life, Bo McQueen, in Pecos, Texas, and they were married on December 22, 1976. Together, they raised their family in Pecos before moving to Waxahachie, Texas, in 1998.Snuffie had a true artistic soul. She could draw, paint, sew, work with wood, and so much more—each craft she touched, she mastered with beauty and care. Her creativity and talents will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is now reunited in heaven with Bo, and we take comfort picturing them dancing together among the clouds.
Snuffie is survived by her children: Tracie Palmer and husband Randy; Shelly Sweeden and husband Mike; Stephanie Fierro and husband Robert; Marirose Petty and husband Ray; and Rex G. McQueen and wife Erin. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren—Sheri, Chad, Lara, Drew, Echo, Summer, Tyler, Tristan, Bo, Cheyenne, and Cohen—as well as 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bo McQueen; her father, Massey Duncan; her mother, Mary Hannah Duncan; and her grandson, Ethan McQueen.
Her legacy of love, creativity, and family will live on through all those she touched.
