Ryan Chilton Sample (2004-2025) 20 years old from Waxahachie, TX. He was born in Arlington, TX to the proud parents of Matthew and Terri Sample.
Where do you even start to describe Ryan? He lived life at 100 mph every day and you better hold on for the ride! Ryan played soccer since he was 5 years old, and he was relentless on the field. Ask his buddies next to you and they will tell you all about his slide tackles.
Ryan was smart though he didn’t really care to be at school, but he did well. In his second semester of his senior year, he transferred schools to finish early, and that he did. Ryan did his own thing for about a year and then he figured out that this is not what he wanted out of life and called up and said, mom I am going to register for college today. Ryan has been a full-time student at Navarro since January of 2024 and was due to graduate with his associates degree next May. He was carrying a 3.8 GPA, and he wanted to transfer and continue. He did all this while working a full-time job in Dallas that he absolutely loved.
Ryan was a hustler, he was always working up deals, trades or whatever to do or get what he wanted. He knew what kind of life he wanted, and he was going to achieve it! Words that all his friends sent to me to describe Ryan: silly, fun, loving, charismatic, genuine, adventurous, goofy, strong, ambitious, kindness, passionate, talkative, kindhearted, authentic, energetic, compassionate, always happy, entertaining, he brought the best out of everyone he crossed paths with, makes everyone smile. If you were up for an adventure, he was ready to hop on the train with you. His dad and I will miss the crazy late-night calls to tell us about the happenings of his day, even though we were asleep we always answered and listened. Everyone Ryan loved, and everyone who loved him, knows that we will see him again someday. Until we meet again…
Ryan was preceded in death by his Great Grandad Lyle Kyle, who he was named after, Great Grandma Jackson, Grandma and Grandpa Sample, and Aunt Shaundell Sample.
Ryan is Survived by his father, Matthew Sample, his mom, Terri Sample, his brother, Riley Sample, his Nana and Papa Rick and Ann Roundy, Aunt and Uncles, Daniel and Twila Roundy, Carin and Jose Alviar, Katie Cowart, Cousins, Wyatt, Skyla, Halle, John, Michael, Cera, Jennifer, Josh, Carl, Adam, and Jessica. Also loved by Melissa Haden and Peter Mullen.
