On September 5, 2023 Roy Edward Selby was embraced into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to begin his new and eternal life of peace and freedom in heaven.
Roy was born July 10, 1930 in Idaho. He was raised and spent most of his life in the Pacific Northwest in the states of Oregon and Washington. He was a patriotic American who proudly served his country overseas as a Marine during the Korean War. He was a strong and gifted man of many talents… Mechanic, carpenter, plumber, electrician, and farmer. Roy had a deep love of nature and loved to fish, hunt and explore the vast wonders of God’s beautiful creation. He also had a very deep love of family and friends, and a heart to reach out to others with a God driven love and compassion. After graduating from Christ for The Nations, Roy and his wife, Francis, spent several years Pastoring and working in several churches in Alaska, Washington, and British Columbia, Canada. Roy loved to minister and help others. He loved to cook, he loved to laugh, he loved to bring joy and hope to anyone the Lord brought his way. He had a good heart.
He was preceded in death by His wife Francis Marie Selby, Son Charley Irvine Selby. His Father Roy Irvine Selby, Mother Caroline Ruth (walker) Selby. Brothers, Charles (Charley) Irvine Selby, Gilbert Lee Selby, Lester Norman Selby. Sisters Nancy Elizabeth (Betty) Allen Chambers, and Ruth Annabelle Vaandering.
Roy is survived by his sons, Clyde Edward Selby & wife Marcy; Curtis Dean Selby & wife Lisa; daughter, Caroline Tuck & husband Tommy (T). He also, is survived by stepsons, Jim Nedele, Michael Nedele, John Nedele & wife, Julie, and step-daughter Kathi Overpeck & Husband Elmer. He has 15 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
