Ronald Eugene Harris

August 5, 1957 — June 28, 2023

Waxahachie

Ronald (Ronnie) Eugene Harris passed away Wednesday 06/28/2023 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Waxahachie, Texas at the age of 65. He was born August 5, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to Bobbie Dickens. He married the love of his life, Kimberly Jane Harris, in 1979. She was his whole world, and the way he looked at her was the way any woman wanted to be looked at by her husband. He loved to dance the night away with his beautiful bride Kim. I can only imagine the beam in his eyes when he saw her for the first time in heaven and they were reunited. Ronnie was raised by Lester and Annie Mae Horton on a farm in Milford, Texas who he greatly adored. He learned all about farming and ranching from his grandfather, Lester. He loved to ride on the tractor. He worked multiple years as an investigator at the Ellis County Sheriff’s office. Later in life he found the love of photography. Taking pictures at the Texas State Fair, rodeo and livestock events brought great joy to him. He was always behind the camera and never in the frame. Even right in the middle of the arena during an eight second ride or taking pictures of the barrel racers. Ronnie was a wonderful husband and friend who could be counted on any time of the day.

He is preceded in death by his lovely wife, Kimberly Jane Harris, his mother, Bobbie Dickens, his grandparents, Lester and Annie Mae Horton, brother, Joe Lee Dickens, mother-in-law, Freida Bruner, Father-in-law, Neubron Bruner, and brother-in-law, Larry Shubert. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Marsha Shubert, brother-in-law, Freddie and Beverly Bruner. Nephews and Nieces Todd and Petra Bruner, Tonya and Keith Staton, Ashley and Michael Isom, Tovie and Johnny Duke. Great nephews and nieces: Dustin and Precilla Bruner, Jordan and Brittany Bruner, Paige and Taylor Dobbie, Jarret Stanton, Zoe Isom, Regan and Trevor Clement, Hunter Duke.
