Robert Lee Wells, 47, of Seven Points, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on April 8, 1978, in Dallas, Texas, to Clarence Lee Wells and Estella Aday of Red Oak, Texas.
Robert was a member of Victory Church in Scurry Rosser, Texas.
On March 11, 2006, he married the love of his life, LaJohnna Renee Wells. Together they shared many adventures and made countless memories. Robert was a proud father to Cameron Leigh Wells and Marty Lane Clayton, and a bonus dad to Danny Michael Jason Holloway and Kaylee Ann Hale. He adored his grandson, Waylon Lee Clayton, and loved spending time with his many nieces and nephews.
Robert grew up in Red Oak, where he attended high school. He was athletic, well-liked, and loved playing football and baseball. After graduation, he attended Navarro College before beginning a career as a cross-country truck driver. LaJohnna and Cameron often joined him on the road, traveling to places most people only dream of.
Robert and LaJohnna made their home in Seven Points, Texas. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone in need. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Robert could bring laughter to any room.
He enjoyed life to the fullest. Robert took great pride in the Kaufman FFA Show Teams, especially Beef Masters. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time outdoors with his family and friends.
Robert is survived by his wife, LaJohnna Renee Wells; his children, Marty Lane Clayton and Cameron Leigh Wells; his bonus children, Danny Michael Jason Hollaway and Kaylee Ann Hale; his grandson, Waylon Lee Clayton; his mother, Estella Diaz Aday; and his mother-in-law, Sammie Raburn. He is also survived by his sister, Jasmine (Jamine) Renee Wallace and her husband Marty Lane Wallace, along with their children, Mia Wallace and JD Stone Wallace; his brother, David Lee Wells and his wife Natalie Wells, along with their children, Preston Delano Wells and Connor Lee Wells; and his brother, Jeff Aday and his wife Alaina Aday, along with their children, Farryn Aday and Addy Aday.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Lee Wells; grandparents, Carl Lee and Hazel Marie Wells; uncles, Harold Ray Wells Sr. and James Wells; grandfather, Simon Diaz Navarro; grandmother, Esther Alvarado Leyva; and Papa, Tommy Aday.
Robert leaves behind a beautiful legacy for future generations. Our family has another guardian angel, smiling as he walked through heaven’s gates. We thank God every day for the memories, laughter, and love he gave us. Though holidays and daily life will never be the same, his spirit will always be with us. Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
