Rebecca (Becky) Lynn Lewis, 62, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on November 9th, 2021, in Waxahachie, Texas.  Rebecca was born in Athens, Tennessee on March 14th, 1959.  She was the daughter of a preacher and grew up in church where music was an important part of the service.  She taught herself to play keyboard at a very young age and was a musician in her father’s church along with her mother and sisters.  She also sang at church and was a big part of the church’s ministry for many years.  Rebecca was a logophile that spent a great deal of time studying and cross-referencing the etymology of the Bible’s texts to gain a deeper and more meaningful understanding of their teachings. Rebecca married twice and became mother to three loving sons.  She loved her children fiercely.  She had a hearty laugh, a beautiful smile and a great sense of humor.  She battled heart and kidney failure for a long while before her body succumbed to their effects. She knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was prepared to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
