Reathia "Nita" Lynetta Seymore

Reathia Lynetta “Nita” Seymore of Sardis, Texas was born on February 28, 1943 to Lois Rachel Brown and Prentiss Adair Russell. Nita joined her Heavenly Father on August 31, 2025 at the age of 82 surrounded by family. On September 3, 1957, she married Charles Gordon Seymore in Madill, Oklahoma. In 2023, they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. In her early working years, she was a car hop at the root beer stand and a cashier at Mott’s. After raising seven (7) children, she began working at Home Interiors & Gifts.

Nita enjoyed sewing, cooking, decorating, shopping for sales, gardening, loving and spending time with her grandchildren and visiting Surfside Beach with her family.Nita is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Gordon Seymore, son Ray Seymore, grandson Logan Seymore, and brother Perry Russell.

She is survived by her children Lynn Seymore, Gay Brown and husband Rusty, Sharon Settlemyer and husband Eddie, Veronica Smith and husband Mike, Tobey Stoffregen and husband Dennis, Jon Seymore and wife Jenny; Shannon Seymore (daughter in law) grandchildren Ami Padgett, Jordan Seymore, Maddison Hughes, Jeff Seymore, Joseph Wilkinson, Matt and Megan Brown, Tom Settlemyer, Ashley Johnson, Andy and Austin Smith, Dalton, Mason and Rylan Henzler, Carson Stoffregen, Lucas and Braxton Seymore, 22 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
