Paula Pennington

Paula Pennington was born to Jack and Janie Henderson on March 10, 1951. She was born premature and could fit in the palm of her fathers hand. That was the only time she was early for anything.

Paula was a graduate of SunSet High School. Through out her life she had many jobs but her favorite was mom and grandmother. Paula was a mother to many and crazy Aunt Paula to others.

Paula was happiest with family around her. Her house was full of family, pets and love. She was able to make life fun and adventurous. There were never disasters, just an opportunity for a new adventure. Paula liked to say she put the “fun” in dysfunctional.

Paula loved the Lord and was a good and faithful servant. Paula means humble and               she personified that. She always took care of everyone. Whenever someone needed help, she was happy to give what she could. She had a very true statement she used all the time, “my daddy told me to never talk to strangers, but I’ve never met anyone stranger than me.”

Paula passed away on January 29, 2022. She has left us to go on her last great adventure and trip the lights fantastic.

Paula is survived by her daughters: Jennifer Shireman Husband Keith, Stephanie Surels Husband Jesse, Saundra Donelson husband Chris, Cheryl Hernandez husband Rickie, Sara Hernandez husband Jesse, Charlotte Vasquez husband Angel.

Grandchildren: Tre Bolton, Cody Pennington, Deven Cole, Lauren and Avery Donelson, Mathew and Grant Culverhouse, Emma Vasquez, Thomas and Jeremiah Castro, Isaiah, Lazarus and Michaiah Hernandez; Jesse, Joy and Christopher Surels, Cori Surles, and Codi Smith

Great Grandchildren: Levi, Ryker and Arianna, Korbynn Lay, and  Kohen, and Keaton Smith

Brothers: Jack (Bud) Henderson wife Linda; Phil Henderson wife Pam and many nieces and nephews.
