Patricia Ann Breedlove, 78, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away at home, making her way to her final resting place on June 9, 2025. She was born in Dallas, Texas to James H. and Dorothy H. Brown.
Pat, because she disliked being called Patricia, married James T. Breedlove Sr., the love of her life, on January 15, 1965, and during their journey had 3 beautiful children: Charles, Tommy and Kim. Pat was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother and Nana and Oh BOY did she LOVE being Nana. As a member of Pathways Baptist Church, Pat’s strong Christian roots is what she lived by and raised her kids by. Growing up with their kids, there were all kinds of memories being made. From trips to sports, they had a good time. Most of the time as the kids were growing up, their friends were at the house playing pool, ping pong and eating whatever “MOM” fixed. She would do what she could so she knew where everyone was. No One was a stranger. You came to her house you were one of hers and you called her Mom or Nana. Pat ALWAYS made sure we had family gatherings, which typically involved food. Thanksgiving was the best holiday and meal… and if you left the house hungry, it was your own fault.
Pat made her Grand Children feel so loved. She 98% of the time had the patience of a saint, especially when it came to those grandbabies and possibly spoiled them a bit, from Chick-Fil A, the movies, 7-11 Slurpee trips, singing and rocking them to sleep, sodas out of the fridge (get what you want baby) and letting them do what, well…they wanted. There will never be a question of how much she loved her family, she showed it every time you saw her, or she commented on your post on Facebook.
Pat has always been a Caregiver at heart, but as she ended her journey, she was a Caregiver for Home Instead, which she loved so much. And as we call her the little Energizer Bunny, she worked part-time at the Dollar Tree.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws and her sister-n-love. Leaving behind her husband of 60 years, her son Charles (Christie), son Tommy (Manuela), her daughter Kim (Mike). 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also leaving behind her brother Rusty (Dianne), Brenda Gail (Larry) and brother Carl and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Our hearts are broken, and Pat will be deeply missed by all that love her and knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
