Patricia Kay “Nanny” Adkins, 80, of Palmer, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on April 30th, 2026. She was born on June 27th, 1945, in Hardy, Kentucky, to Arlin and Vivian Stanley.

Patricia was proud of her college education at Dallas Baptist University. She married her husband, Frank Adkins, in July 1979, and they remained married until his passing in 2019.

Patricia worked for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service for 22 years before retiring. She was a faithful servant of the Lord. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior in the 8th grade and lived her life ensuring her family knew the Lord and His Word. Patricia encouraged others to read the King James Version of the Holy Bible. She would often say not to mourn her, for she is with the Lord. Her wish is for others to seek salvation and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlin and Vivian Stanley; her husband Frank Adkins, her brothers, Junior, Tommy, and Jimmy Stanley; her sisters, Betty Cash and Brenda Everett; and her precious granddaughter, Emily Stout.

She is survived by her sister, Kathy Davis, and brother, Gary Beanbloom; her children, Melissa Stout husband Ron Carney and Brian Hunt wife Sada Hunt; her grandchildren, Amberley and Jarred Tims, Morgan Hunt, and Matthew Stout; her great-grandchildren, Ava, Liam, and Andrew; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
