Noelia Escobar

September 24, 1948 — January 28, 2022

San Antonio

Noelia Escobar, 73, of San Antonio, Texas entered the loving arms of Our Lord on January 28, 2022 at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas.  She was born September 24, 1948 in Rio Hondo, Texas to Benito & Esther Juarez.

Noelia was a graduate of Edinburg High School.  Later, she continued her education in radiology at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. She worked as a doctor’s assistant for several years until she married the love of her life, Joel E. Escobar.

She was a vibrant and loving person.  Not only was she a loving and dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend, but also a devoted paraprofessional mentor in the Help One Student To Succeed (HOSTS) Program at A.P. Solis Middle School in Donna, Texas. In addition, she was a substitute teacher at the Barbara Bush Middle School in San Antonio, Texas. She received several certificates of appreciation for her service in educating the community and praises of admiration from her former students over the years.

She was very proud of her children, James, Denise, and Jason who continued her strong ethics through their own professional lives and dedication to family. She will live on through the wonderful memories of helping others in need over the years.  Even in her last moments on earth, as an organ donor, she provided a blessing of life to others.

She had a unique, gregarious personality and was very dependable.  She kept a devoted prayer life and instilled this value to her family.  Her tender caring heart and smile showed bright, and the life lessons she taught to family and friends will always be in our hearts.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years Joel E. Escobar of San Antonio, Texas.  Son: James Escobar of Beavercreek, Ohio. Daughter & Son-in-Law: Denise & David Kessell of Belmont, North Carolina. 3 Brothers: Elias Juarez of Texas City, Texas, Joel Juarez of Waxahachie, Texas, and David Juarez of Pasadena, Texas.  3 Sisters: Belinda Ybanez and Zulema Juarez both of Waxahachie, Texas, and Ruth Juarez of Austin, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jason Escobar.
