Waxahachie, TX — Nancy Whitworth, age 82, entered into the arms of her Savior on June 16, 2026 surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.

Born on December 19,1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she was the cherished daughter of the late Clifford and Mary Smith.

From her youth through her adult life, Nancy approached everything she did with passion and excellence. As an Oklahoma state champion twirler, she was incredibly talented, winning numerous competitions over the years and dazzling crowds with her skill.

That same dedication carried into her career as a college professor at Trinity Valley Community College and El Reno Junior College, where she made an impact on countless students and was honored as Educator of the Year multiple times.

Above all, Nancy loved Jesus fiercely. She was a constant role model for many in their walks with the Lord, living out her faith with a steady, quiet grace and a genuinely loving heart.

For all her achievements, her greatest joy was simply being with her family. She loved the simple pleasures of life—whether she was out on a fun shopping trip, playing games with those she loved, or sitting down with a perfect cup of coffee. Her gentle wit, warmth, and dedication to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She has been reunited in Heaven with her beloved parents, Clifford and Mary Smith, her sister, Patty Morgan and her stepson, Tray Whitworth, who preceded her in death.

Her beautiful legacy lives on through her devoted husband of 46 years, James (Jim) Whitworth; her loving daughter, Kristi Bogy and husband Gary; her stepson, Chip Whitworth and wife Marty; her adored grandchildren Jessica Oliphant and husband Triston, Lane Bogy, Alexis Bogy, Andy Ison, Riquee Castillo and husband Alex; and her two precious great-grandchildren, Taivin and Jemma Oliphant.
