Nadine Margot Knebel

February 18, 1967 — June 12, 2024

Red Oak, Texas

Nadine passed away peacefully at her home on June 12, 2024 at the age of 57. She was born on February 18, 1967 in San Jaun, TX to Maria and Luis Lopez Jr. Nadine moved to Red Oak, TX when she was 10 and graduated from Red Oak High School. She cherished her job of being a pre-school teacher for Praise n’ Play here at First Red Oak. In addition to that, she was an HR coordinator for 20 years. She was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in December 2023 at the age of 56. She fought a courageous battle and was steady in her faith during it all. She was not one to be distraught with such a diagnosis but was seen with a smile on her face the entire time.

Nadine was a beloved mother, daughter, and glammie. She had the sweetest heart and a forgiving nature. She was a woman of Christ and believe that God had a purpose for her to follow. She was gentle and kind; a beautiful, strong women who endure many hardships that did not lead her to question her faith, but rather used it as an opportunity to become closer to God.

She loved her daughters with all she had and was their #1 fan. She never missed her hair appointments and believed that if you look good, you will feel good. She enjoyed watching the cowboys and Texas Rangers, spending time with her grandson, eating tacos, and serving her church. She will not only be missed by her family, but all the friends she made in her life. She was an inspiration to many and has left a legacy that will be remembered by all.

She is survived by her mother, Maria Lopez; brother, Carlos Gonzales; daughters; Isabella and Skylar Knebel; grandson, Josiah Freudiger; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Luis Lopez jr.; sisters, Nidia Largin and Nilda Lopez; brothers; Robert and Jerry Gonzales; son, William Knebel.
