Myriam Diaz was born December 23, 1928 to Virgilio and Guadalupe Perales of Monterrey, Mexico.
Myriam was a daughter who honored her parents. She was a faithful wife, and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by Daniel, her husband of sixty-five years, their granddaughter Rebekah Gray, and great-grandson Cale Campbell. She is survived by her daughter Myriam and Myriam’s husband Darrell, her son Daniel and Daniel's wife Bobbie, her daughter Rebeca and Rebeca’s husband Wendall, her granddaughters Sarah, Annie, Kayla, Alex, Jacquelyn, Chaeli, and grandson Benwick, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Hugo Perales, who lives in Mexico.
Myriam loved to honor the Lord Jesus with her life. She poured the love of Christ into everyone she met. She especially loved to share the love of Christ with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She wanted all of her family to have a personal relationship with Jesus. Myriam also had a heart for Israel, and desired for all of God’s chosen people to come to faith in Jesus.
Myriam loved music. She loved to listen to classical music with Daniel, but her favorite music of all was music that glorified Jesus. Myriam loved to listen to Christian music of all styles, but especially loved the “old hymns”. Myriam also loved to play the piano, and even taught piano lessons as a young adult.
Daniel and Myriam moved to Corpus Christi in 1986. She retired in Corpus Christi from her career with the Department of Human Services for the State of Texas. After more than thirty years living in Corpus Christi, Daniel and Myriam returned to the DFW area and settled in Waxahachie. Soon after arriving in Waxahachie, Daniel and Myriam became members of Vertical Church, Ovilla.
We will miss you until we see you again, Mom, Grandma, Grandmama.
