Margaret Ann Burris Myers was born January 30, 1940, to John Winfield Burris and Myrtle Cynthia Brown Burris in Anselmo, Nebraska. Margaret left this life on November 19, 2025. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Wilburn Myers and her son Rex Myers. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Sims and her husband Richard Sims, their two sons, Clayton and Austin Sims of Red Oak, TX. Rex’s wife Vickie Myers of Tucson, AZ and their daughter Donna Vines and husband Daniel Vines. Their son Justin and his partner Isabel. She had 4 great children, Gavin Myers, Riley Myers, Cody Vines and Kaylee Vines.

She would embrace Rex and Darlene’s friends and treat them as her own. Wendy Wortham Hosner, Nancy Wortham Dixon, Tonya Hagood Capley and Ralph Jacobsen were precious to her.

Margaret graduated from Casa Grande High School, Casa Grande, Arizona in 1957, she then went on to beauty school. She married her one and only Ed Myers on December 3, 1964, in Las Vegas, Nevada where both of their mothers were in attendance. They moved to Texas in 1969 and moved to the Cedar Creek area in 1975 where they lived for over 48 years. They had many friends over the years, but a few were extremely special to them. Jim and Carol Miller adopted them into their own family and helped look in on them in their later years, the Miller’s whole family loved Ed and Margaret very much.

Margaret relocated to Red Oak to be closer to her family and friends of 55 years, Dean and Glenda Gilliam. Glenda and Dean would help check and care for her at her assisted living facility Arabella Senior Living of Red Oak. They were very special to her.
