Marcelino Munoz Sr.

Marcelino Lara Munoz Sr., 82, of Waxahachie, passed away on January 27, 2022, at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie Texas . Marcelino was born on July 8, 1939, to Edwardo & Petra Munoz in Cameron, Texas. After going to school in Cameron, Texas he met his love of his life Cecilia Martinez Munoz in 1956 and they married in 1957, going on to have 9 children, Marcelino M. Munoz Jr. & partner Samuel Cheek, daughter Teresa Munoz, son Raul T. Munoz & wife Carmen Munoz, son Alexander E. Munoz, son Paul Munoz, son Danny Munoz & wife Tiffany Munoz, daughter Melissa Munoz, and son Eric Munoz. After retiring from farming in 1988 he spent most of his time driving around and visiting his friends. There was never a stranger he met that he didn’t pray for. He also enjoyed riding shotgun with his son Raul T. Munoz when driving his 18-wheeler. He also loved spending time with his wife Cecilia and all of his family. Marcelino was predeceased by parents Edwardo & Petra Munoz, brothers Jesse, Joe, Eddie, sisters Cruz & Rosa, son Raul Munoz, grandchildren Alvin Sauceda & Raul Munoz Jr. He is survived by his wife Cecilia Martinez Munoz, brother Edward Munoz, sister Erlinda Tijerina, sister Geneva Martinez, sister Isabel Molina, son Marcelino M. Munoz Jr., daughter Teresa Munoz, son Raul T. Munoz, son Alexander E. Munoz, son Paul Munoz, son Danny Munoz, daughter Melissa Munoz, and son Eric Munoz. Marcelino had 21 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and lots of nieces & nephews.
