Manuel “Tony” Antonio De Dominicis, born February 22nd, 1953 was 72 years old when he passed away from a long illness. He died peacefully in the afternoon on Saturday, April 19th, 2025, in Midlothian, TX, surrounded by family members. He was a gentle soul, beloved by family and friends and will truly be missed.
Tony was born in Uruguay and grew up in Argentina and the United States. He graduated High School from the “Instituto Carmen Arriola De Marin” in San Isidro, Argentina. Tony worked at his parent’s pizza restaurant, as well as the family farm. He later taught English in Buenos Aires, using the Berlitz program. He was a true teacher at heart. Moving to the U.S. in his mid-20’s, Tony resided in Chicago, Miami, Hawaii and lastly in Midlothian, Texas in 2019.
Most of his professional life was spent working in the airline industry. He began his career with Pan Am and later retired with United Airlines, working several job positions and ending as a gate agent. Tony also had side gigs, such as driving personal cars back and forth from New York to Miami. This time on the road was often spent talking on the phone with family and friends. Even though Tony did not have kids of his own, children were drawn to him. He always found some unique way to entertain them and make them laugh.
Tony was an incredible storyteller. He enjoyed sharing his life stories and was always patient and willing to hear someone else’s story. He had many hobbies, including windsurfing, classic cars, motorcycles, hunting with his uncles, and later in life enjoyed safaris to Africa. Tony had a keen eye for unusual treasures and was a collector of rare guns, knives, animal horns, die cast cars and belt buckles, just to name a few. A history buff at heart, Tony loved all things pertaining to WWII.
Tony is survived by:
His brother Enrique and Enrique’s sons, Lucas and Matias, along with Matias’s wife and their children.

As well as many cousins and extended family members.
