Loran Lonell Wilson, Sr.

Mr. Loran Lonell Wilson, Sr., 81, of Waxahachie,
passed away at 1:02 AM, Saturday, February 24th, 2007
at Select Specialty Hospital, Desoto, Dallas County,
TX. while in the company of family members.

The husband of Betty (Clark) Wilson, they were married
for 56 years.

Mr. Wilson was born in Denison, Texas on October 22,
1925, the son of the late Charles Asbury and Roberta
(Johnson) Wilson.

He was a member of Farley Street Baptist Church
Waxahachie. A 52 year member of the church, he
currently served as a Deacon, Trustee and has served
on the building committee, Pulpit Committee and as a
greeter. He was also Past President of Farley Street
Brotherhood and he sang in the Sanctuary Choir and was
the past president of the choir. He was former
superintendent of the senior high Sunday School class.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a Sgt in WW
II. He was a member of the 8th Air Force Bomber,
serving as a radio operator and waist gunner, flying
in B-26's and B-17's.

He was the President and Co-owner at C. A. Wilson
Company, Inc., Plumbing, Air Conditioning and
Appliances Sales and Services for 72 years until his
illness 4 months ago. His company has been in business
in Waxahachie since 1934. Mr. Wilson opened his own
plumbing store in 1948 in Graham, Texas where he met
the love of his life.

A Past President and lifetime member of Optimist Club;
he was also a Director of the Waxahachie Youth
Baseball and past president of Indian Booster Club.

He is survived by a daughter Monica A. wife of Brad
Baker of Plano, TX.
and two sons Sonny husband of Debbie Wilson
Waxahachie, TX., and Randal Clark husband of Becky
Wilson of Waxahachie, TX.


He is also survived by 10 grandchildren Aaron Saunders
and wife Kelly; Lauren Chism and husband Jeremy; Sarah
and Annie Saunders; Drew, Chase and Kyle Wilson, and
Danielle Chelette; Haley and Whitney Wilson, and two
great grandchildren Ashlyn Chism and Allison Saunders.

He is also survived by 3 sisters Betty L. widow of
Barkley Parten of Arlington, TX., Linda wife of James
Strength of Waxahachie, TX., Wanda S. Miers of Dallas,
Tx. and two brothers Clarence husband of Lila Wilson
of Waxahachie, TX., Charley J. husband of Iris Wilson
of Waxahachie, TX. A Sister-in-law Evelyn Wilson
widow of C Alvin Wilson.

He was preceded by a brother C Alvin Wilson and a
Sister Aline O'Daniel. and a son-in-law Rick Saunders.

The celebration of his life will be 10 AM Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Waxahachie Bible
Church, Waxahachie, Texas, with Brother Richard Smith
of Farley Street Baptist Church officiating.

Family will receive friends and relatives Monday 6-8
PM. at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Aaron Saunders, Jeremy
Chism, Drew, Chase and Kyle Wilson,. The honorary
pallbearers will be the Deacons and their wives of
Farley Street Baptist Church.

Interment at Wilson Cemetery Waxahachie, TX.
