Linda Darlene Bell, 77, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend whose life was centered around her faith, her family, and her servant’s heart.

Linda grew up in Comanche, Texas, and later made Midlothian, Texas, her home, where she raised her family. She worked for many years as a dispatcher before dedicating herself fully to her family as a homemaker, mother, and grandmother.

Linda loved God deeply and had a true servant’s heart. She was always willing to help others and never hesitated to give her time, love, or a helping hand. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She loved nothing more than gathering everyone together, playing games, sharing laughter, and cooking the best food imaginable.

Everyone who knew Linda knew that nobody could make potato salad, pies, or sweet tea quite like Nonna. Those recipes—and the love she put into making them—will become treasured family memories for generations to come.

Linda adored her grandchildren with all her heart. She wanted to show them the world and created countless memories with them on trips along the West Coast and to Florida. Along the way, she passed down her love of Rod Stewart, making sure her grandchildren learned to appreciate his music just as much as she did.

Linda also loved playing the slot machines with the love of her life, Ronnie, right there beside her, looking over her shoulder and celebrating every big win. Those moments were filled with laughter, excitement, and the kind of companionship that made their life together so special.

Linda was also known for keeping an immaculate home. There was truly no one who could clean a house quite like her! She made sure her children and grandchildren understood exactly what “clean” meant, too. While the family laughs about those lessons today, they are grateful for the values she instilled in them—hard work, responsibility, taking pride in your home, and doing things the right way.

Perhaps one of Linda’s greatest lessons was not to take everything personally and, instead, to learn to laugh. She taught her family that life is too precious to spend worrying about every little thing and that sometimes the best thing you can do is laugh, love, and keep moving forward.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald J. Bell; her mother, Ocie Reese; her father, Silas McClatchey; her brother, Larry McClatchey; her sister, Loretta Adams; and her son-in-law, Kevin Rolls and nephew Vance McClatchey.

She leaves behind a family who will carry her love and lessons with them always: her daughter, Renee Motley and husband Jeff; daughter, Lisa Rolls; son, Ruston Bell and wife Brandy, stepdaughter, Lori Bell; grandchildren, Mischa Mitcham and wife Amanda, Brett Mitcham and Denise, Jacey Shoemaker and husband Kyle, Ryan White and wife Sophie, Brittany White, and Joshua White, Krissy Dozier and Daniel; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren, nieces Allison Dennard, Sue Resmondo, Sonja McClatchey, nephews Jimmy Dennard, Johnny Dennard, Chase Adams, Robert McClatchey, Dewayne McClatchey. Many great nieces and nephews.

Linda’s greatest legacy is the family she loved so fiercely and the memories she created with them. Her laughter, her cooking, her faith, her determination, her love of music and travel, and the countless lessons she taught will live on in every generation that follows.

She will forever be loved, forever missed, and forever remembered as Mom, Nonna, and the heart of our family.
