Leatrice Hensley

Leatrice Hensley, 85, passed away on Friday July 1,2022 in Red Oak, Texas after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer's.  She was born September 18,1936 in McKinney, TX. to Luther Grant and Lovella Clarkson of Corsicana.  She graduated from Corsicana High School in 1954. Lea was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.  During her years of raising the boys she worked for a furniture company and was the secretary at Calvary Baptist Church, Duncanville.  Lea was a den mother for her son's cub scout group, was very active in the community.  She greatly enjoyed reading.  Later in life, she and John bought a large camper and toured the US which they enjoyed very much.

Lea married John Hensley of Waxahachie, TX. on November 27, 1956.  She is preceded in death by her husband, John.  They made their home in Duncanville, TX. where they raised their 3 boys. She is survived by Mark Hensley and his wife Kim of Midlothian, Chris Hensley and his wife Robbyn of Waxahachie and Scott Hensley of Austin, TX.; her sisters Ann Blackstock of Corpus Christi and Vicki Grosshans of San Angelo.   She is also survived by her grandchildren Garrett, Rayce, Will, Ivy and Zoey and great grandchildren Vivienne and Violette.
