Larry Mack Vermillion (age 80) was born in Dallas, Texas on December 06,1943 and passed away at home in Waxahachie, Texas on June 29, 2024. Larry was a Christian and loved God. He loved his family very much, and he enjoyed being with his friends. He also enjoyed working in his yard, working on his stamp collection, visiting with anyone he met, and reading his Bible and books on many subjects. He also loved a good debate. Although he had diabetes which led to other medical problems, he led life to the fullest.
Larry graduated from Malakoff High School in 1962 and Henderson County Junior College (Athen, Texas) in 1964. From there, he went to East Texas State University (Commerce, Texas) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in science (1966) and a master’s degree in science (1969). After college, Larry began teaching biology and other related subjects. He taught school in Dallas, Texas for twenty years and Midlothian Texas for eleven years.
While in college, he met his future wife, Kathleen Browning. They married June 04,1971 and were married for 53 years. Their son, Stephen Mack Vermillion, was born September 24, 1974. They both were with Larry when he passed away.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, John Harvey Vermillion and Juanita Clay Vermillion; brothers: Robert L. Robertson and John A. Vermillion; and also by his mother and father in law: Edward Q. Browning and Nettie Merle Browning; brothers in laws: Larry E. Browning and Tim A. Browning; his nephew Daniel L. Browning.
Larry is survived by his wife Kathleen Browning Vermillion; Son: Stephen Mack Vermillion; twin brother; Gary C. Vermillion (Phyllis) and brother Joe H. Vermillion(Debra); Sisters in law: Nita Charlton (Jim), Carole Robertson, Kathleen Hurley Vermillion; cousins Greg Mitchell and James Mitchell (Debbye); Special friend Patsy Kittles Summey; Nephews Gary Robertson (Caroline), Matthew Vermillion ( Mandy) , Neil Browning (Stephanie), Samuel Browning, Kevin Vermillion, Jason Vermillion; Niece Janet Palardy (Carl) .
